This Porsche 928 “Spezial Silicone Remover” No.999.917.801.00 decal sticker was used on all 928 models.

Self Adhesive decal sticker

This decal sticker is positioned at the back of the engine bay on the left side of the plastic cover over the windscreen wipers & washer bottle

Specially recreated at customer’s request due to NLA direct from Porsche.

Ideal opportunity to replace or install this obsolete decal sticker to restore your engine compartment back to original OEM

Thermally over printed in two passes of spot black with yellow and black and a satin clear coat to further protect the decals.

With careful fitting these should last many years.

 Technical Specification –

We use a thermal printer to produce our decals using a ‘spot colour’ printing process. This means that we print our decals using resin foils that are ‘fused’ in the heating process to the vinyl substrate, unlike inkjet printing which uses a fine mixture of dots of Cyan, Yellow Magenta and Black inks to produce a spectrum of colour, the thermal resin foils are ‘spot colours’ meaning they are printed sold colours. Overprinted with clear abrasion guard & contour cut to correct size!

This process produces a printed result that is almost indistinguishable from the original characteristics of the screen printed decals of days gone by. It also means that colours are brighter and consistent – no banding or visible dots or raised ink. It also means that we are able to print metallic colours, white, fluorescent and even chrome effects. The printed results are superb with colours that are vibrant and opaque, which is especially important when producing window decals.

Thermal printing is more expensive than inkjet, but we use it because it produces superb results attune with original period screen print decals. We are far more interested in producing the best quality decals we can – if you seek quality and perfection, you’ve come to the right place.

Vinyl substrates come in an array of varieties with varying lifespans. It would take too long to fully explain the chemistry behind all the different versions available, so we’ll keep it easy! We only use the best quality vinyl’s available to us. These vinyl’s are all rated for external use as Trade Auto Vinyl substrate.
