Exact replica of the later OEM original design – “Insulation Sound Absorber”
These floor insulating pads are trimmed to fit under the luggage area carpet & over the factory spare wheel cover plate in the rear luggage area / cargo area on the left side and over the floor pan above the fuel tank on the right side.
The 928 luggage area carpet covers these TWO Insulation pads.
These 2 insulation pads are re-manufactured similar to the OEM originals except with upgraded 18mm High Density PE/PU Closed Cell Foam over the Floor pan and 12mm High Density PE/PU Closed Cell Foam over the Spare Wheel cover.

Service Information Technik for MY91:Noise insulation measuresWhat was already an extremely comfortable noise level for sports cars has been further reduced. The measures introduced in Model Year 1990 are being supplemented by floor insulation front and rear. Insulation on the floor in the luggage compartment, on the rear side elements and on the spare wheel cover, together with insulating foam on the B and C-pillars are also new. The rear wheel arches are being fitted with noise-insulating liners. The entire insulation package reduces the Interior noise level by up to 3 dB(A). Our foam material is a flame retardant, halogen-free product. It is in compliance with FMVSS 302 (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No: 302).

These Insulation pads are custom manufactured in our workshops so we will try to keep stock of them if we can manufacture them quick enough to cope with demand. We manufacture the Drivers side & Passenger side Footwell Insulation pads as well as the full luggage/Cargo area Insulation pads in 2 parts to go over the spare wheel cover and under our 928 luggage area carpet. All these products are available in our Woodypeck shop.
